Good bye from Mr. Drew

I want to thank all you parents and leaders and cub scouts for making my time as Cub Master rewarding and fun. It has been my pleasure to serve for the past 3 years in that role. While I am leaving the Cub Scouts, I am not leaving the program entirely. As many of you know, I am transferring to the Boy Scouts as the new Assistant Scoutmaster.
I am still a Cub Scout Dad, so you are still going to see me at the outside events, and I'll be across the hall each Tuesday night. Make sure to drop me a line and I hope you all will wish me well in my new role.
Thank you.
- Mr. Drew

Pack 70 Cubmaster
Greetings!
Hopefully rain does not cancel our event we have planned (again). We are planning on arriving at just before 10 am. Since this is Cub Scout Day, scouts can earn the Indians Heritage Patch.
If you plan on attending, don't forget to pack a picnic lunch, and $3 for each child. Adults are free.
Call 501-944-7629 (Cub master hotline) if you have questions.

Big Dam Bridge Hike

Pack 70 Cubmaster
Today's hike will be cancelled by rain if it is actively raining at 12:45 pm (or when you are leaving your house). We will brave 'sprinkles' to get his hike in, but not lightning. Please call 501-944.7629 if you need to contact me.
No worries if you don't want to hike. This is totally and optional event, and in no way will affect your position or standing in the pack!
Best,
Drew Coppock

Pinewood Derby 2009

Heya everyone!
You should be getting your Pinewood Derby cars together. Most people are at the stage where they are ready to attach weights or drill into the body of the car and sink weight into the body.
Others are ready to paint. If you aren't making progress, please contact Mr. Drew. We are having PWD Workshops at Mr. Drew's house on February 28th and March 7th. We only have these two weekends left until our local derby on Saturday, March 14th. Email Mr. Drew at mailto:mohawkpack70@gmail.com if you need help.
Good luck making your car fast, unique, or detailed (or any combination of those). Remeber, there will be certificates in each den for the fastest car, the sharpest looking car, and the most unique.

Please post your hiking miles here. Let me know the Date, the Place, the Miles (like 1.2 or 3.7) and the Cub Scout name(s) who hiked those miles. Just post that as a comment to this post. Thanks!
We owe you guys a chance to see the 2008 Pinewood Derby!

Scouting is FUN!
Posted by
B. Sims
Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. It is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting. Currently, Cub Scouting is the largest of the BSA's three traditional membership divisions.
